School counselors assist schools in providing an environment conducive to and supportive of academic success, helping to identify and remediate any barriers to academic success for all students.

School counselors are committed to supporting students’ social/emotional needs. As advocates for students, school counselors promote a positive environment, through direct and indirect contact, that enhances students’ ability to properly manage the social/emotional demands of their lives.

[Career]

School Counselors recognize that career education and development begins at a young age. At the middle school level, school counselors work with students to help them develop an understanding of their career interests and the postsecondary options that will help them reach their goals.

Most importantly, Broadview School Counselors collaborate with school staff, parents and the community to create a safe, supportive, and respectful learning environment to maximize each student's personal and academic achievement.
