See if you can make up one for Mrs Hardisty to complete!
Year 2 are very excited to finally be learning times tables. To celebrate their achievements and to encourage them to become quicker, we will be starting “times table certificates” so that the children can share their success. We will be starting with the 2, 5 and 10 times table and then looking at the others.
To achieve their “Bronze” certificate the children will need to “skip count” by saying eg. 2,4,6,8,10,12,14,16,18,20,22,24.
To achieve their “silver” certificate the children will need to write in order eg.
0 x 2 =0
1 x 2 = 2
2 x 2 = 4
3 x 2 = 6
4 x 2 = 8
To achieve their “gold” certificate the children will need to complete the timed challenge on their chrome book. This is the link to the timed challenge that the children will be using.
Please can you help support your child with learning their times tables and celebrate their successes!
