Mrs. Flanders (ELA-Room 118)

This is my fifth year at Dallastown and I could not be more excited to work with such an amazing district and staff! I am originally from Lebanon, PA and graduated from Messiah University in Mechanicsburg, PA. I recently finished my Master's Degree from Wilkes University in Educational Development and Strategies. My husband Nate is an Occupational Therapist and the assistant high school soccer coach for Dallastown. We live in York with our sweet lab, Parker. Coffee, running, reading, boating, and being around people are some of my favorite things! I am so excited to get to know you all and learn with you this year!

Mrs. Queen (Learning Support)

I was born in Honolulu, Hawaii and grew up in Lancaster and Virginia. I received my Bachelor's Degree at Old Dominion University and my Master's degree at Mary Baldwin University. This is my 21st year teaching. My husband, Tim, and I have 3 cats and 2 beautiful grandchildren, Orion and Nova. I also have two grown children. My daughter, Malia, is a fourth-grade teacher. My son, Blaine, is serving in the Army. I love to walk and wear tutus. I am so excited to go on this learning adventure with you this year.

Mrs. Herr (Math/Social Studies- Room 120)

This is my second year teaching for Dallastown Area School District (my 14th year in education), and I couldn't be more excited to teach in the educational community in which I reside. I graduated from Millersville University in 2010 with a Bachelor's Degree and in 2016 with a Master's Degree in Language and Literacy Education and a Reading Specialist Certification. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my husband and two young sons.

Dr. Stermer (ELA- Room 119)

Born and raised on Long Island in New York, I have lived in PA for 20 years. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in History from Hofstra University, a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from Brooklyn College, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Wilkes University. This is my 24th year in education. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my husband and almost 17-year-old son, as well as hiking, camping, paddleboarding, cooking, reading, and simply celebrating life. I am thrilled to learn with you this year.

Mr.Verno (Math/Science- Room 124)

I was born in Bethlehem, PA also known as the Lehigh Valley. I received my B.S. in Education from Bloomsburg University. I am beginning my 27th year teaching 6th grade. When I’m not teaching, I am spending time with my wife and three daughters, Novalea, Irelyn, and Avaleen. I am excited for the upcoming school year & I know you are going to LOVE 6th grade at DAIS!
