The DAIS DELTA Team invites students from the surrounding community to attend the EdTechTeam Student Summit, featuring Kern Kelley, Tech Sherpas and the DAIS DELTAs on Friday, March 9, 2018 at Dallastown Area Intermediate School. It is a summit hosted by students for students, where attendees will experience three unique learning opportunities featuring Google for Education and Chromebooks. (Hershey, PA) – Student representatives from the Dallastown Emerging Leaders of Technology Association (DELTA) traveled to the Hershey Lodge to present at the Pennsylvania School Board Association’s (PSBA) Student Excellence Fair on October 18, 2017. Representatives included Brendan Berk, Namya Jindal, Taylor Ness, Mae Treml, Tony ‘TJ” Woods, Victor Vaida, Delaney Bruner, Mason Hiestand, John Mattiko, Walter Mattiko, Sara Noll and Rachel Walcyzk. The DELTA Team is a group of 100 students from Dallastown Area Intermediate School (DAIS) who are committed to growing in the fields of technology and leadership. At the PSBA Excellence Fair, DELTA students spoke with various stakeholders and education professionals from throughout the state of Pennsylvania about their experiences, opportunities, and genuine interest in helping others succeed through various technological innovations. Guided by teacher advisors, Eric Hartman, Ken Midgett, Erica Stermer and Eric Verno, the DELTA Team collaborates on a weekly basis to inform advisors about technology needs throughout the school, develop and grow in technology-related devices and software products, and engage in leadership efforts to help their peers and teachers succeed.
