My name is Mrs. Charissa Wertz and I am the String Instructor at Dallastown Intermediate School. I am looking forward to a wonderful year of musical growth, string exploration, and beautiful music from the students at DAIS. This website will be a valuable tool in communicating important dates, rehearsals, and news throughout the school year. Whether your child is a beginner, 4th, 5th, or 6th grade student, there will be many links that apply to their string success. Orchestra rehearsals in the fall are for students that have studied 1 or more years. Beginners will join orchestra rehearsals in January. String Students returning to the program will have a 30 minute small group lesson once per cycle as well as participate in a 40 minute ensemble time period 9 once a cycle. Beginners will have be taught a 30 minute group lesson and join orchestra in the Spring.
