Welcome to my classroom page!
Let me introduce myself, I have been teaching secondary education for 20 years and have been at DAMS since 2008. I am originally from Lancaster County, where my family of 5 currently resides. Teaching American History
and Civics is my passion. Outside of the classroom I am a swim coach and spend as much time as possible with my 3 kids- 1 high school kid, 1 middle school kid, and a 2nd grader.
I look forward to meeting our new Team Legacy this fall!

Important Info About Supplies
Students will keep an in-class journal throughout the year. It will be graded as a project each trimester. I will supply a composition book for journaling. Journals will be kept in the classroom, but students may take them home. The journal reflects a student's daily effort in our classroom. Some students like to have colored pencils, highlighters, markers, and various art supplies to make their journals a creative reflection of their learning. I do have some shared materials for the classroom.
Students will also be asked to keep an organized binder for history. They will keep all materials by unit. Once they have completed their unit assessment (quiz, project, presentation), and checked Skyward for final grades, they can discard unit material, or store it in another location.
