My name is Mr.Isiah Perry, Jr., and I am a native of the historic city of Selma, Alabama.
I graduated from Alabama State University with a Bachelors & Masters Degree in Elementary Education (K-6). I was involved with the ASU Mighty Marching Hornets, Kappa Delta Pi International Honor Society, Nu Epsilon Chapter, and SGA Street Team during my tenure at ASU. I am a proud member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Incorporated.
Professionally, I am a Middle School Math & English/Language Educator at Tipton Durant Middle School in Selma, Alabama.
As a professional educator, I am dedicated to helping others learn and grow. I am passionate about the field of expertise. I am committed to staying up-to-date on the latest developments in education. I deeply understand how people learn and can create engaging and effective learning experiences for your students.
I am a skilled communicator and can convey complex ideas to your students clearly while being patient and empathetic; and can work with students from a wide range of backgrounds and with varying levels of ability. Also, I am a lifelong learner and constantly seek opportunities to improve my own knowledge and skills while being committed to professional development and always looking for ways to stay current in the field.
Above all, I am dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of students. Driven by a deep sense of purpose and am motivated by the knowledge that I am helping to shape the minds of the next generation.

Career SMART Goals
Goal One
Instructional Goal - I will have a five-minute warmup before each class session between now and the end of the school year (i.e., two times per week). To keep track of how long I spend on each task, I will use a timer to make sure that I don’t exceed five minutes for any one task
Goal Two
Leadership Goal -I will attend at least one conference or symposium for the entire year to learn new things and improve my teaching.
Goal Three
Communication Goal -Between now and the end of the school year, I will return all calls and emails from parents to their children within 24 hours. Once every week, I will check to see if I followed through on my plan.
