As an instructional design‑focused CTE teacher with a background in UX/UI design, I am passionate about crafting learning experiences that are clear, engaging, and accessible for every student. In my classroom, technology is not just a tool but a carefully designed environment where lessons, activities, and assessments are built to keep learners actively involved, collaborating, and thinking critically about the digital world they navigate.
I believe that teaching technology also means teaching digital citizenship—helping students use devices, apps, and online spaces safely, respectfully, and responsibly. Through project‑based learning, structured digital routines, and open communication with families, I work to foster a community where students build real‑world skills, understand the impact of their online choices, and feel confident using technology to create, communicate, and solve problems.
During the first quarter, students built foundational skills in digital citizenship and computer fundamentals, aligned to Technology Applications TEKS using a backward‑design approach.
During the second quarter, students applied their foundational skills by using Google Workspace tools to complete practical projects and began exploring the design process to create original digital products aligned with Technology Applications TEKS.
