Meet your Director 

Mrs. Charles-Simms was born in Brooklyn, NY. She started playing the violin when she was 3 years old at the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music, where she studied under Mathew Ricard. Mrs. Charles later studied with master teacher Sonja Foster and participated in several competitions and orchestras.

She later attended the prestigious University of North Texas College College of Music for her bachelor's degree and master's degree in Music Education.  

Mrs. Charles-Simms loves teaching quality string music education at all grade levels!
