What is science?

Science is method of systematically studying the structure and behavior of the physical and natural world through observation and experiment. What exactly does that mean? Science is all around us and it exists in every part of out lives. As we explore the world around us, we find new discoveries that lead to more questions. Science helps us to answer those questions!

About me

Hi! My name is Noah Phillips and I am so excited to be the 5th grade science teacher at Eladio R. Martinez during the 2021-2022 school year! I moved to Dallas when I was 4 years old with my mother and father, and I have lived here ever since. In 2019, I graduated from the University of North Texas with a B.S in psychology while I worked as a research assistant. During the 2019 - 2020 school year, I taught as a residency teacher while obtaining my Master's degree in the art of teaching from the University of A&M- Commerce. This is my second year at Martinez.

I am passionate about acquiring knowledge and helping others, and I hope to inspire you all to feel the same way. During this year, we will become inquisitive thinkers to explore the world around us in order to find answers to our questions. Aside from my passion for science, I love sports, my three dogs, and my family.

I am looking forward to having a productive, fun, and memorable year!
