EXPECTATIONS FOR PARENTS & STUDENTS

Parents and Students:

We hope to provide a wonderful distance learning option for you and your family. Please take a moment to review some key expectations in which can work together to communicate and ensure positive outcomes for our students. Please reach out to our team if you have suggestions or feedback to improve our collaboration and service.

General Expectation for Parents and Students

• Read messages from teachers and principals.

• Establish home routines and support students remaining on the routine

• 2 grades minimum will be recorded weekly

• Review Campus announcements posted on INSTAGRAM, our website and RUSK DL.

• Review District announcements posted at https://www.dallasisd.org/covid19

• Log in daily to Google Classroom for assignments from teachers

• Complete electronic assignments by due dates. Extended time accommodations must be provided as defined by IEPs for students receiving special education services.

• Student participation will be through engaging in the learning and activities that are assigned by the teachers. Sufficient learning activities as determined by classroom teachers and as submitted by students, will count as participation.

• Grades will be determined by the teacher of record based on the student mastery demonstrated on assignments.

• Contact the teacher through Remind or email, or by phone.

• Notify the teacher if the student is sick so that additional time to complete assignments can be provided as necessary.
