About me
My name is Julie Hubbs. I was born in Forth Worth, TX and raised in Seattle, WA. I'm a single mom of a very energetic three year old. This will be my 7th year teaching at Eladio R. Martinez Learning Center. I started my teaching career first as a second grade teacher and later decided my passion for music would translate perfectly in to elementary music education. I began taking piano lessons at the age of 7. Throughout school I was involved in chorus, concert band, and jazz band. I received my associates degree in music while in high school at Highline Community College in Des Moines, WA. Later I attended University of Washington in Seattle, WA where I received my bachelor's degree in women's studies. I love both music and learning! Music has always been an important part of my life. Music education is vital to a well rounded learning experience. I truly believe in music and the potential that it unlocks in many parts of our lives.
