Class Expectations
Be Prepared - Come ready to learn. You will need a notebook, writing utensil, and your school issued computer. All other supplies will be provided as needed.
Be Prompt - Class starts immediately with a warm-up activity.
Be Respectful - Respect others, Mr. Allen, property, and most importantly YOURSELF.
My room is a safe environment for everyone to learn and explore the world of History. It is a NO BULLYING ZONE
Clean up - Please leave the room the way that you found it with supplies and trash where they belong.
I will dismiss - I will monitor the time to ensure prompt departure, but please do not pack up early in case of end of class items that arise.
Do your best! - I encourage proud work, not just for marks, but so that you can feel personal pride in your accomplishments.
Attendance Procedure
Students must attend class to obtain credit. In the event of an absence, please provide the appropriate documentation to the office, before or after school, explaining the reasoning for the absence. This prevents Level 4 Truancy as well as a loss of credits

About me
I was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. I am a proud graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in History and Political Science. Hookem Horns! I also attended law school at California Western School of Law. This is the start of my 2nd year at Hillcrest High school.
I love all things Sports and History. I regularly attend Cowboys, Mavericks, Stars, and Rangers games. I look forward to teaching you the incredible history of this great country the United States of America!

Myap.collegeboard.org is our main access point as it is a single sign-on spot that students can access most of our digital resources. On my teacher page within the site, students will have access Google Classroom. Students must have their student login and computers to be able to access it.
In the event that your student must miss school, assigned work must be completed. In the event that I am not in the class, there will still be assigned work to be completed by the next day.
