Dallas ISD
Living Materials Center
The Dallas ISD Living Materials Center (LMC) understands that students retain scientific information better when they are given multiple opportunities to plan and conduct laboratory and field investigations. With this in mind, the center provides live specimens of plants and animals as well as care and handling expertise at no cost to educators in the district. This allows teachers to provide their students with hands-on, inquiry-based lab opportunities resulting in improved academic performance in science.
