Library Rules
- Students have open access to the library during lunch, during school with a pass, and after school.
- NO FOOD or DRINKS are allowed in the library. This applies to library hours during the school day. Please enjoy your food & drinks in the lunch room before entering the library or you will be asked to leave.
- Talking on cell phones is NOT allowed in the library. Students may use smart phones for school related work only. If use of a device is disturbing other students or staff, students will be asked to use their device outside of the library.
- The library strives to maintain an academic atmosphere. Students are not allowed to rearrange library furniture unless they have permission from Mrs. Berry. Please remember to keep voices low.
Student Use of Materials:
- Students need their ID card to check out books from the library. Students must check out materials before taking them from the building.
- Materials are checked out for a two-week period, but may be renewed for more time.
- Students will be charged the cost of replacing any lost or damaged materials.
- Reference materials must be used in the library and are not available for check out.
- Students may check out up to 3 books at any one time. Overdue materials may cause a loss of check-out privileges.
Student Use of Computers:
- No games, forums, chats, or instant messaging is allowed on library computers.
- Library staff will monitor students computer use as much as possible, but students are ultimately bound to what they signed in the district’s Acceptable Use Policy.
REMINDER
The library is a place for learning. If your behavior is a distraction or takes away from our collegiate learning environment, you will be asked to leave. This is up to the discretion of the librarian.
