MATHia is a learning platform designed to suport students in mastering Geometry concepts. Created by Carnegie Learning, MATHia personalizes the learning experience by providing practice and feedback, ensuring that the student receives the support he/she needs to succeed. It complements classroom instruction by offering targeted problems that adept to the student's progress, reinforcing key concepts while addressing gaps in understanding. Dallas ISD requires MATHia for all high school mathematics courses.
Why is MATHia important for students:
MATHia reinforces classroom learning. The platform aligns with the lessons taught in class, providing additional opportunities for students to practice and apply what they have learned. This reinforces understanding and prepares students for assessments.
MATHia encourages independent problem-solving. By working through interactive, guided problems, students develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills, essential for success in Geometry and beyond.
MATHia tracks progress and mastery. MATHia provides detailed progress reports, helping students and parents monitor growth over time. These insights allow students to identify areas where additional effort is needed as well as celebrate successes.
MATHia prepares students for future success. Geometry is foundational to higher-level math and numerious real-world applications. MATHia helps students build a strong foundation, setting them up for success in advanced math courses, STEM fields, and everyday problem-solving scenarios.
Each student is to complete 3 MATHia workspaces each week, beginning with our first day of class. The students need to complete the three workspaces by 11:59PM on Friday, each week.
