• Complete an online application for elementary or secondary at https://www.dallasisd.org/choosedallasisd.

• Apply by January 31. (Seats may be available beyond the application date. Please call your school(s) of interest for details.)

• Students will receive notifications of acceptance from schools starting in March.

• Seats for English Learners (native Spanish speakers) are open in PK-5th/6th grade (elementary only) to meet requirements for bilingual services.

• Seats for Non-English Learners (native English Speakers) are limited to pre-K through Kinder only.

• Seats for students in grades second through 12th are based on prior participation in a Dual Language program.

• Availability of seats may vary due to capacity limits at campuses throughout the district.

Ideally, children should enroll between the ages of four to six years old, when they are in PK or kindergarten.

• No previous ability to speak Spanish is required to enter the Elementary Two-Way Dual Language Program in PreK or Kindergarten.

• Spanish proficiency is required to enter the Secondary Dual Language Program.
