Mission

The school counseling mission is to assist students in their journey to becoming productive citizens by providing a comprehensive school counseling program that addresses the educational, career, personal and social/emotional needs of the whole child.

Vision

The vision of the Downtown Montessori at Ida B. Wells is guided by our commitment to provide a comprehensive, developmental counseling program where the entire learning community addresses the academic, social, and emotional needs of all students. Through the principles of Montessori education, advocacy, leadership, and collaboration the school counselor will work in partnership with all stakeholders to meet the needs of all students.
