Camerata Orchestra
Camerata Orchestra
The Camerata Orchestra consists of mainly 7th and 8th graders who have demonstrated that they are independent musicians, play with ease, have mastered music reading, and are committed to performing at the highest level. They participate in the UIL Concert/Sight-Reading Event as well as other events during the school year.
Chamber Orchestra
Chamber Orchestra
The Chamber Orchestra consists of 6th, 7th, and 8th graders who are are still developing as independent musicians, play with relative ease, are competent in music reading, and are committed to performing at a high level. They will participate in the UIL Concert/Sight-Reading Event as well as optional other events during the school year.
Philharmonic Orchestra
Philharmonic Orchestra
The Philharmonic Orchestra consists of 6th and 7th graders who are are still developing as independent musicians, They work on increasing their personal playing technique as well as playing in an ensemble. They will participate in the DISD Pre-UIL Concert/Sight-Reading Event as well as optional other events during the school year.
Technique Class
Technique Class
The Technique Class consists of 6th, 7th, and 8th graders who are either just beginning on their instruments or could use additional time to develop into independent musicians. This group will participate in regular concerts during the year.
