THIS IS FOR 7th & 8th GRADERS ONLY!
EARLIEST TIME TO LEAVE IS 3:30pm
Parents:
Once your scholar has tried-out and made the team (fall and/or spring), parents must email:
Ms. Brown (counselor) - JesBrown@DallasISD.org
Ms. Brokaw (Principal) - EBrokaw@DallasISD.org
Ms. Diaz (office manager) - AnyDiaz@DallasISD.org
& attach the coach, so we can stay in communication. Without this email your scholar will not be able to leave early.
For the days you pick up your scholar @ 3:30pm, please have your ID ready to show Ms. Diaz at the door.
Scholars:
Once approved to leave early from Sudie TAG to head over to your home school to play a sport, Ms. Diaz will assign you a "LEAVE EARLY PASS". Please make sure you understand the importance of collecting & gathering all information needed from your teachers prior to leaving early. It is important to over-communicate with your 5th and 10th period teachers about how you will be staying on top of all assignments, prioritizing this class first, and not interrupting the class when you leave early (sit near the door, pack up, show your teacher your "LEAVE EARLY PASS", and exit quietly.)
*We do not extend extra time for assignments, so it is crucial that you turn in all assignments on time.
*Teachers will not be responsible for reminding you that it is time to leave, so please ensure you are checking your watch or classroom clock.
You will report to the main office by 3:30, where you will wait until your ride has checked in with the office manager, Ms. Diaz.
She will then notify you that you are free to leave.
It is a safety issue to release children outside until we have checked parent ID.
If a student begins to struggle due to leaving early from their 5th or 10th period class:
Teachers will notify parents 1st
If extra support is still needed, teachers will notify Ms. Brown 2nd (I will speak to student and their coach)
If it is still a problem, Ms. Brown will call a parent, teacher, student, & coach conference to discuss possible alternatives
