Internship preparation is our current Workplace Learning focus, as Conrad H-TECH students get ready for submitting internship applications and participating in job interviews in spring of 2023 for summer opportunities. Students will engage in numerous Industry Partner-led workshops focusing on honing resume writing and practicing interviewing skills.
November / December
Stemuli Studios' Wade Aston, Vicky Boudta, and Ashley Rosales led a Workplace Challenge over several weekly sessions with small groups of 10th-grade H-TECH students. Each group's goal was to create a completely new product and create a presentation along specific parameters. From a "squishy hamburger" to mobile phones that send emotions over the air waves, the students presented a range of inventions in a modified "Shark Tank" format to a panel of judges, including Taylor Shead, CEO of Stemuli. Students learned valuable lessons about working in a group dynamic, as well as speaking skills, as part of the Workplace Challenge. The student winners will participate in a visit of Stemuli's facilities with Ms. Shead, along with lunch, as a reward for their considerable efforts.
