Short version
Our entire school shuts down to host colleges from all over the nation, who lead master classes and interact with our students. The Visual Arts department will have a portfolio review on Friday afternoon. All of our constituents come together to provide hospitality, performances, and networking for our students. It’s a fun and inspiring event. Please join us!
The Hospitality Room 170 will be available all day, both days, with coffee, treats, snacks, etc. Lunch will be provided both days for all college guests. If you are only attending the portfolio review on Friday at 12:30, please join us for an early lunch.
Our Senior Showcase Exhibit will be on display in our Hudson Art Gallery, and the reception is scheduled for Thursday, November 19th, from 5:00-7:00 pm. We would love for all college representatives in town to come to the reception!
How
Visual Arts schools/programs are encouraged to participate in a portfolio review and lead a presentation, master class, or workshop. Once you register on the website, Kyle Clark will reach out to schedule a workshop (if you elected to lead one). If you are not sure about leading a class or have questions before you register, please email egillespie@dallasisd.org.

Thursday, November 19th and Friday, November 20th, 2026.
A workshop schedule will be available about a week before the event.
Workshops/Master Classes
Workshops will be 3 hours in length. Faculty and College Reps have hosted a wide variety of workshops in the past. Examples: slip casting, wooden rings, monotypes, shibori, photography lighting, cyanotypes, welding, fashion drawing, etc. We welcome any of your fun, hands-on workshop ideas to share with our students. We can provide most supplies for your workshop.
