Class overview
Second grade is such a great time. We will be using Literacy Footprints this year to teach the reading and writing components with some great online aspects. We will be using GoMath again this year to teach number concepts all the way to starting of Geometry by year end. We will also be doing handwriting as well and will help to improve that before they move on to the next grade levels.
A little about me.....
I have been married for 18 years to my amazing husband, Kent and we have 2 incredible kiddos, Noel and Halsey(both attend Dallas City Elementary). I am originally from Michigan and have lived in Arizona for 17 years before moving to Illinois last year. I am beginning my 4th year of teaching and my 2nd year at Dallas City Elementary. I have taught both 2nd and 3rd grade and feel that I have a good understanding of what it takes to be ready for the next grade level based on that.
I love teaching and am so happy to have this year with you all!!
