LES Library Mission and Goals

The mission of the G.W. Long Elementary School library is to be an integral part of the learning and teaching process while providing a welcoming comfortable environment where students, parents, and teachers are encouraged and inspired to pursue their academic and personal interests.

The library's goal is to support the curriculum by collaborating with teachers, developing a collection that meets the needs of all learners, and to lead students to become life-long readers and learners who appreciate and celebrate literature, themselves, and others.

Today a Reader,

Tomorrow a Leader!
