DailyPay is a company-sponsored optional employee benefit that allows you to access a portion of your base wages in advance of pay day. DailyPay is not intended to pay daily; rather it is a way for you to access some of your earnings to help you out financially in between their regular pay days.
No. DailyPay is designed to work with only those employees being paid via direct deposit; either to a checking account, savings account, debit card or Wisely pay card. If you are paid today via a paper check, stop into your local branch to learn more about how you can sign up for a Wisely Card to enroll in and start using DailyPay.
DailyPay is not a loan. It’s simply an upgrade to our existing payroll system that allows you to access some of your pay faster than you’d otherwise be able to. The amount of money you have access to is based on your approved visit hours – meaning you’ve already earned this money; it just hasn’t been paid to you yet.
Like an ATM, you only pay for DailyPay when it is utilized. Next day transfers are no cost. Instant transfers are $2.99.
You can make up to 5 transfers per day.

DailyPay offers two types of transfers: next-business-day and instant. The timing is as follows:
Instant = money is available instantly, 24/7, including nights, weekends, and bank holidays.
Next Day = Transfers requested prior to 11:30PM EST are available in the morning on the next business day.
Business days are defined as Monday through Friday, excluding bank holidays.
Note: To use DailyPay Instant, you will need to enter their debit card or pay card number through the DailyPay website or app. This is needed because DailyPay Instant transfers are sent through a different type of mechanism than regular (ACH) transfers sent to routing and account numbers.

Yes, you can download the free DailyPay app on iTunes or Google Play!
You can transfer up to $1,000 per day. The minimum transfer amount is $5.
You will have access to any amount up to, and including, the available balance shown in your DailyPay online account.
For the first three pay periods after you enroll in DailyPay, the available balance will be 50% of your gross pay (25% if there are garnishments, such as child support payments).
After the first three pay periods, the available balance will be automatically recalculated to reflect 80% of your net pay, after deductions like taxes, retirement contributions, etc. are considered. Remainder pay not included in the available balance will be paid to you automatically at no cost on the normal pay day.
W2s and pay statements will not change.
An employee that wants to unenroll in DailyPay can follow the Account Cancellation procedures in the Settings section of their DailyPay App.
If you requested any transfers ahead of payday, you can request DailyPay account closure at any time, but DailyPay will receive one final paycheck from Addus to cover the transfers that DailyPay sent, passing along any remaining pay to your bank account on file.
Once DailyPay receives this final paycheck, the account balance is covered, the Daily Pay account will be canceled out. This process can take up to a couple of pay periods to ensure full account closure so you should not change your direct deposit account number in MyADP. Once your account is fully closed at DailyPay the bank account deposit account information will be sent back to Addus automatically.
Yes! All Corporate, Home Health, Hospice and PCS administrative, clinical, and direct care employees have access to DailyPay at this time. The only exception is Lifestyles Options (LSO) which uses KanTime and Tennessee Quality Care/TQC (Matrix). Once TQC migrates to HCHB and ADP Time and Attendance, they will be eligible to use DailyPay.

Once your visit is successfully completed in the EVV system and swept into Horizon/Clink/Arrow/HCHB, the qualifying visit data will be sent to DailyPay approximately every 2 hours. Addus IT generally sweeps completed visits from the EVV systems throughout the day but should be available in the Addus Timekeeping system (Arrow/C-Link/Horizon) by first thing the following morning. For example:
A PCS caregiver works a 4-hour shift on 9/15 and successfully uses Celltrak to record the visit. The 9/15 visit hours will sweep from Celltrak to Horizon sometime in the early morning of 9/16 and from Horizon, will push into the DailyPay system within 2 hours.
One a shift is completed in the ADP timecard using the punch in/out function in the ADP, the hours will flow over every 2 hours into DailyPay. For example:
On 9/15 an hourly office employee successfully clocks into ADP at 8am and clocks out at 4pm for their daily hours. The 9/15 hours will sweep from ADP into the DailyPay system within 2 hours of the shift being completed around 4pm in ADP.
Salaried employees in Home Health, Hospice, Corporate and PCS will have access to their hours in DailyPay on the 5th day of a bi-weekly pay period. To ensure accuracy and consistent availability of your DailyPay balance, your earnings will be accessed starting on the 5th day of each pay period. This means for the first 4 days of the pay period; you will not be able to transfer any of your earnings and you may see a $0 balance. You will still have access to the app and the other features (e.g., Savings, Financial Counseling). On the 5th day, you will start to accrue funds and can make transfers starting at 9 P.M. EST.
A Hospice nurse who collects a salary from Addus wants to utilize DailyPay but it is on 9/10; the start of the bi-weekly pay period. The hours will not be available until 9/15, the 5th day of the pay period and should be in the DailyPay system early on that 5th day.
Salaried employees earning a base annual salary of $100K or more are not eligible for DailyPay.
The only way to access time in DailyPay quickly is to successfully utilize an EVV platform to complete client visits, close visits in HCHB or to do real time punching in/out of ADP if an hourly admin or clinical employee. However, if you submit your time via paper timesheet, the hours will be available for DailyPay after the timesheet is keyed into the Timekeeping system. For example:
A caregiver in IL works a 4-hour shift on 9/15 but submits visit on paper. The visit is not keyed into Horizon until 9/22 according to the due date on the payroll schedule. Within 2 hours of being keyed into Horizon on 9/22, the data will be fed over to DailyPay.
The only way to access time in DailyPay quickly is to successfully punch in/out of ADP real time. However, if you or manager only puts regular time into a timecard once a week in ADP or the you forget to clock out and the shift has a missed punch, then those hours will be available for DailyPay after it is keyed into the Timecard or corrected by the manager. For example:
An hourly Hospice CNA employee works an 8-hour shift on 9/4 but does not punch in/out real time. The 8 hours is not keyed into ADP timecard until 9/8. Within 2 hours of being keyed into the ADP timecard on 9/8, the data will be fed over to DailyPay.
DailyPay will work with you directly to recoup any funds.
The DailyPay wage reconciliation process works such that if all information is timely and accurate, there will be a zero balance in your DailyPay account on payday. However, there are instances where the account may have a negative balance.
In the event of a negative balance in an your DailyPay account, the following procedure will be implemented to restore the account to good standing. Access to further advances may be temporarily revoked until a resolution is reached and a positive balance is restored. You will be notified and may choose from the following three (3) options below:
Immediate Debit: You can choose to make immediate payment.
Payment Plan: You can spread the payment plan over up to four pay cycles, with a minimum payment of $20 per pay cycle required for this option.
Next Pay Period Payment (default if no selection is made): Balance forward to the next pay period. DailyPay will apply up to the total Net Pay of the subsequent pay period to recoup the negative balance.
When access is restored, if you choose to advance while a negative balance is still owed, the chosen payment plan will be canceled. Any funds still owed will be repaid with the next pay period.
Note: There are some exceptions where the paycheck options are not presented to you to select. The three scenarios whereyou are not prompted to select a payback option and is defaulted in an auto pay off are:
Negative balance is less than ~$20.
The available balance is greater than the negative balance. The balance made available to transfer would decrease by the amount of the negative balance.
The user has not logged into DailyPay for 3 days since pay day.
Unfortunately, only worked hours will be available for use with DailyPay. Because of that, those earnings will not be able to be accessed for DailyPay.
Unfortunately, the hours/visits paid out on the PCS Nurse Template are not real-time punches and are only entered into ADP for payroll at the end of a pay period. Because of that, those earnings will not be able to be accessed for DailyPay.
Addus and DailyPay have put a 12-hour cap on any hours available to you to minimize the risk. Additionally, the algorithm put in place by DailyPay to look at the average of past earnings will also help minimize the risks.
Reported Shifts is a new tab in the DailyPay employee app designed to show every reported shift you work (that is reported by Addus). Within each shift, you can also see how much money from that shift’s gross earnings are available for access before payday via their DailyPay Available Balance.
You can view the Reported Shifts tab by tapping “See Your Activity” from the home screen, then tapping the “Shifts” tab. Each Shift also has an individual page that shows gross earnings, estimated withholdings, and increase to the Available Balance for that shift. See below for screenshots:
When you enroll in DailyPay, your direct deposit accounts in MyADP will change from your personal bank account/Wisely card to a unique DailyPay account number from Wells Fargo Bank. This DailyPay account number will be used to pay you on payday.
When you enrolled in DailyPay, your bank account changed in ADP as noted above. ADP will auto-generate an email to your email address on file in ADP notifying you that this has happened.
If you enroll in DailyPay, your DailyPay account will appear in the ADP Direct Deposit screen with a DPA – DailyPay account type. Also, the Bank Transit number will always be 121000248 for Wells Fargo and the Account Number will always start with 3258.
You should not submit changes to your direct deposit account number in MyADP. You must update your account information in the DailyPay app directly.
If you enrolled in DailyPay and you accidentally updated your bank account/pay card information in MyADP, DailyPay will overwrite automatically with the DailyPay account number every night.
Depending on your bank, you might receive a notification about DailyPay after you request your first transfer and/or when your change their direct deposit information. This is called a “prenote” and is not a charge – it’s simply a way for us and DailyPay to verify that the account number is correct. You can disregard this notification.
Yes, you may have up to two accounts - one “primary” and one “secondary” - through the free savings feature on the DailyPay app. This is done by setting up an additional account along with a set transfer amount.

Addus will calculate all of the normal earnings and hours owed to you on your pay date as normal within the ADP system. Your net pay will be sent from ADP to DailyPay who will deduct any transactions and fees for any transfers that were initiated during the pay period. The remaining balance will then be transferred to your bank account or Wisely card set up within the DailyPay site. No delays!
Addus will calculate all of your net pay on the pay date as normal. The funds for the total net pay owed will still be sent to DailyPay. DailyPay will see that you did not take any transactions and will transfer the full net pay to the bank account or Wisely card on file by the scheduled pay date. No delays!
The remaining balance will be deposited into your account by the end of business on our normally scheduled payday. The exact timing will depend on your financial institution, but this is typically done 1st thing in the morning on your scheduled pay date.
Once an employee is hired and onboarded with Addus, DailyPay will start communicating to the employee via their personal email on file in ADP. There will be 4 emails sent within 24-36 hours of employee being added to ADP. See below for examples:
