The Deadline of project submission has been changed into Dec.11th.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much is the entry registration fee?
The registration fee is $20 per group, with one to five people per group.
When can we start accessing the DAHUA CHINESE Learning Platform?
You can access it for free from now until September 7th. If teachers register as members in August, please remember to write the recommendation letter before September 7th to start using it for free immediately. We will provide a discount code that will grant teachers free access to all articles on the platform until the video submission deadline.
How can students make payments?
We use PayPal for payments, and there is an option to use credit cards through PayPal. If any of the teacher's students encounter payment issues, feel free to inquire directly in the Messenger group.
If there are copyright issues on YouTube, will we be notified in advance?
Yes, you will be notified in advance. We also recommend that students upload on their own channels first, set them as unlisted, and let them stay on YouTube for about 24 hours. This will help determine if there are any copyright issues.
Can Chinese students participate?
Chinese students who speak Chinese at home are not eligible to participate in this competition. However, if Chinese students at home do not speak Chinese, they are very welcome to join. In order to protect the rights of participants in certain Chinese language categories, we do not recommend participation if one of the parents speaks Chinese to the child. If the competition expands in the future, there is a high possibility of creating a separate category for Chinese students. Given that this is the first time organizing the competition, we aim to ensure fair competition among participants.
The current competition schedule is not very accommodating for our school's agenda. Is it possible to change the final video submission deadline?
Considering that some teachers have concerns about the competition schedule, after discussing with our team, we have decided not to change the registration dates. However, in September, we will initiate a vote for the video submission deadline among interested participating teachers in the Messenger group.
We will actively communicate with the teachers to confirm if changes are needed, ensuring that the new date is suitable for both participating teachers and students.
