The CrisisAlert badge is the fastest and easiest way for teachers and staff to immediately get help, anywhere on campus.
The CrisisAlert badge is the fastest and easiest way for teachers and staff to immediately get help, anywhere on campus.
There are two types of alerts:
1) Staff alert - everyday incidents such as a medical emergency or student altercation
To initiate a staff alert, press the button on your badge three times (push the button firmly - you should hear a click after each push)
After the third click the badge will vibrate indicating that an alert has been sent
2) Campus-wide alert - extreme incidents such as an active shooter or a weather event
To initiate a campus-wide alert, press the button until the vibration begins and continue to press it through the vibration (press the button 8-10 times)
Things to remember:
1) Wear your badge on your body at all times (preferably above your waist or around your neck)
2) Don't leave your badge unattended or accessible to students
3) Don't hang other things on your badge (such as keys or a flash drive)
4) When not wearing the badge do not put things on top of it or sit on it (this could damage it or set off an accidental alarm)
Remember... the badges do not work off campus. Do not try to use them when off campus.
