Canva: Simplify and Catch the Eye

Presenter: Gabrielle Haston

Audience: All

In this session, educators will create their own free Canva account and learn how to begin using the site/app to create eye-catching graphics for social media and classroom use.

(Ex: Senior Spotlights, Classroom Handouts/Graphic Organizers, Event Information, Anchor Charts, etc.)



SeeSaw in the Elementary Classroom

Presenters: Lee Anne Gibson and Greta Haney

Audience: Elementary

Participants will learn how to set up a Seesaw class, find, customize/edit, and assign activities from the Seesaw Activity Library and create multimodal activities students can complete right in the Seesaw Class app.

Smart Social Media

Presenter: Jessica Reed

Audience: All

Social media can be an educator’s best friend. In this session, we are going to discuss Twitter and how having a PLN (Personal Learning Network) will provide you with different opportunities and resources to use in your classroom. Come and learn about a great way to connect with others!!

Google Sites

Presenter: Stephanie Durham

Audience: All

Use Google Sites to share information with students, parents, and admin. Give life to your student projects by presenting using a website. Use Google Sites to compile resources for teachers or parents. The possibilities are endless...and easy. Have a website ready to share in as little as 10-15 minutes. This session will give you the information you need to create an attractive and useful website. The site you create can even be linked to your school's website.

Flocabulary

Google Classroom for the Beginner

Presenter: Dr. Jeff Scott

Audience: All

In this session, participants will explore Google Classroom by learning how to set up classes, load lessons and resources as well as posting important announcements for students.

Using Nearpod in the Classroom

Presenter: Jessica Reed

Audience: All

In this session, educators will explore many aspects of Nearpod. Nearpod is a platforms that allows you to create interactive lessons for your students. You can turn your own Slides or PowerPoint lessons into interactive Nearpod lessons. You can also choose from many free, already created lessons to cover your classroom standards. By using Nearpod you can synchronize and control your lessons on individual devices. Nearpod includes a free version as well as a paid version. Both will be discussed.

Khan Academy

Presenter: Anna Thomas

Audience: All

More than math videos, although they still have those. Khan Academy has assignments, Question Help, Quizzes, Unit exams, Lessons in Math, Science, Social Studies, ELA. You can assign some or all of the activities. Integrated with Google Classroom.

Advanced Google Classroom

Audience: All

Now that I have a google classroom and know how to add students and assignments, what else can I do? This session will help you dig a little deeper into the extras of google classroom. Topics that will be covered:

-reusing assignments

-emailing students

-adding parents to classroom

-emailing parents

-assignments vs material post

-making any pdf editable to be used

EdPuzzle

Presenter: Crysti Wilson

Audience: All

Using simple editing tools, Edpuzzle allows you to transform videos to use in your lessons.. The process is simple - find a video, add questions and assign it to your class. Watch as they progress and hold them accountable on their learning journey.



Google Forms: Assess Smarter

Presenter: Gabrielle Haston

Audience: All

In this session, educators will learn how to use Google Forms to create quizzes for self-grading formative assessments including Google Forms Quiz Locked Mode(so students only have access to the quiz and cannot Google the answers). Work smarter, not harder! :)
