As a teenager, he studied at the Institute of Contemporary Art of the São Paulo Museum of Art. Due to his good performance, he obtained a scholarship to study at the newly created Ulm School of Design (successor to the Bauhaus).

Quando adolescente, estudou no Instituto de Arte Contemporânea do Museu de Arte de São Paulo. Devido ao bom desempenho, conseguiu uma bolsa para estudar na recém-criada Escola da Forma de Ulm (sucessora da Bauhaus).
