This system testing and mentoring session on the Online ISSP Submission System was delivered in both an online and in-person setting at ICTS Training Room on:
July 27-28, 2022 for various operating units; and,
August 25-26, 2022 for various DA Regional Field Offices (DA-RFOs) and Central Office Services
October 6-7, 2022 for various DA Regional Field Offices (DA-RFOs) and Central Office Services
The DA-ICTS will be implementing the use of the Online ISSP System for faster consolidation, submission, and revision of the Agency's ISSP. This will be the official mode of submission for the 2024-2026 ISSP.
The Department of Agriculture - Information and Communications Technology Service (DA-ICTS) requested the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) to conduct the following activities:
3rd batch of the virtual Orientation-Seminar on Digital Signature on August 4, 2022 ; and,
PNPKI Applications Training on August 5, 2022.
There were live demonstrations on how to digitally sign and an open forum after each session.
This training was in collaboration with the Philippine Center for Postharvest Development and Mechanization - Agricultural and Fisheries Mechanization Engineering Resource Network (PHILMECH-AFMechERN) last June 9-10, 2022 at the ICTS Training Room.
The major objective was to improve the degree of programming expertise among the department's technical employees, programmers, and information technologists.

An introductory training session on BigQuery and Data Studio, two free to use powerful tools available under the Google Cloud for data analysis and visualization
The Intervention Management Platform is the enhanced version of the Voucher Management Platform (VMP) and developed to address the limitations and concerns of the system. It is composed of a mobile-based merchant/supplier application and a web-based intervention management system.
Training of RFO focals and operations on the IMP were conducted on March 28, 2022. Training of merchants enrolled by the Regions where our farmer beneficiaries will claim the fertilizers using vouchers were run through the following dates:
- RFO 12, 13, 1: March 29, 2022
- RFO 1, 8, 4B, 10: March 30, 2022
- RFO CAR, 4B, 9, 5: March 31, 2022
- RFO 4A, 11, 2, 7, 6: April 1, 2022
- RFO 7: June 13 , 2022
ICTS-DMD introduced the Pentaho Data Integrator and the use of MYSQL to the participants of NLP PHILAIMIS Region 6 Data Encoders last April 26-29, 2022. The training's goal was to deploy a data integration system and conduct mentoring sessions to upskill the PHILAIMIS Data Regional Encoders in their data management skill in data preparation.
The Basics of the Power BI Training in coordination with the Livestock Development Program was conducted online on March 9-11, 2022.
Power BI is a Data Visualization and Business Intelligence tool that converts data from different data sources to interactive dashboards and BI reports.
In addition, the Google Data Studio was introduced as an additional reference for creating the Dashboards.
This course provided tips and simple steps on making full use of the virtual platform most specially during the new normal. This provided tools and techniques to help the virtual sessions succeed.
Three online sessions of this course, on the dates of February 23–24, March 2–3, and March 7–8, 2022 were conducted.
This training offered the very basics for a half day course to briefly present the geotagging. There were lectures and hands on activity for the course. This was conducted online last February 18, 2022.
The general objectives of the course were: (1) To capacitate relevant staff on GPS-based data acquisition that may be vital for processing of desired project outputs, (2) To organize and harmonize geotagging initiatives for a standardized spatial data processing, sharing and dissemination, and (3) To assist in organizing and management of geotagged datasets.
Orientation on Cybersecurity Awareness
This was conducted online in collaboration with the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) last January 25, 2022. The event was open to all DA Technical Staff members and SMEE-INTERACT Focals. This sought to strengthen their ICT capability in carrying out their various work functions and give them a sufficient level of knowledge and comprehension of the principles of cyber security.
