Welcome to AP Statistics

I will be your teacher for AP Statistics this year! We are excited to have you in class and look forward to a great year. The best way for you to reach us is through email. Please note that any email received after 4:00 p.m. may not be answered until the following day.

Office hours will occur during your regularly scheduled class time on any day we do not have a live sessions. During office hours, you can connect with us directly using the Google Meet link that is on the top banner of your Google Classroom . You can also get assistance by appointment, Monday - Friday 7:30 - 10:30. There may be times we are unavailable, so the early notice you can give the better. Again, we will use the Google Meet link on Google Classroom for these informal sessions.

Course Overview

In this course you will learn:

  1. Exploring Data: Describing patterns and departures from patterns (20%–30%)

  2. Sampling and Experimentation: Planning and conducting a study (10%–15%)

  3. Anticipating Patterns: Exploring random phenomena using probability and simulation (20%–30%)

  4. Statistical Inference: Estimating population parameters and testing hypotheses (30%–40%)
