Words Their Way
Practice sight words for 5 to 10 minutes every day.
Read for 20 minutes every day.
Practice basic math facts for 10 minutes every night.
Some programs your child may be using
Read Live - This is a program designed to increase student reading fluency.
Lexia - On this site the student completes tasks at varying levels of difficulty. The computer then generates a program at your child’s individual level. This program targets phonics and sight word recognition.
Raz Kids - This program is offered through Learning A-Z. The children practice stories that I have assigned at their instructional reading level. The student will then listen to the story, read and record themselves reading the story out loud, and take a short quiz on the story. Access by going to the Reed Media Center under Language Arts. Click on Raz-Kids. Your child should know their password.
Fast bridge- For monitoring progress in reading and math.
