5th Grade Homework Policy
Important information regarding homework assignments for 5th-grade students.
Starting each week, students will receive homework daily, with a focus on math and/or reading tasks. It is crucial that these assignments are completed each night and handed in the following day. In the event that any work from the school day remains unfinished, students are expected to complete it as homework and submit it the next day.
To encourage students to stay on track with their assignments, positive reinforcement will be provided for tasks that are completed promptly and accurately.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or need further clarification.

Dear Families,
Classroom team jobs have an important role in the success of our classroom. This management system promotes responsibility and accountability among our students, teaching them to manage their tasks effectively and support one another.
By encouraging teamwork and collaboration, we are helping our students build essential skills for their future. They develop a sense of community and ownership, contributing to a positive classroom environment.
These roles also foster social and emotional learning (SEL) skills, such as leadership and cooperation, while providing opportunities for student voice and choice. As they rotate through jobs, students can express their preferences and take pride in their contributions.
Overall, classroom jobs lead to a more organized and efficient classroom, offering students a practical context to practice vital skills.
Thank you for your ongoing support and dedication!
Best regards,
Mrs. Kaminski
