5th Grade Homework Incentives!
Dear 5th Grade Families,
Welcome to a wonderful year of growth! In fifth grade, homework helps students build vital habits like time management and responsibility before they head to middle school.
To keep motivation high, students in room 20 will participate in a "5-in-a-Row" Homework Incentive Challenge. Students who turn in their homework completely and on time for five consecutive due dates will earn an exciting Streak Prize, which includes:
A "5-in-a-Row" Success Certificate to celebrate their achievement.
Their choice of a fun reward from the prize bin, such as water bottle stickers, cool pencils, motivational bracelets, and more!
How you can help at home:
Set a regular, quiet study time each evening.
Check your child's assignment notebook for homework assignments daily.
Celebrate their effort and consistency!
Thank you for your incredible support and partnership. Together, we will make this a fantastic and productive school year!
Warmly,
Mrs. Kaminski
Classroom Team Jobs
Dear Families,
Classroom team jobs have an important role in the success of our classroom. This management system promotes responsibility and accountability among our students, teaching them to manage their tasks effectively and support one another.
By encouraging teamwork and collaboration, we are helping our students build essential skills for their future. They develop a sense of community and ownership, contributing to a positive classroom environment.
These roles also foster social and emotional learning (SEL) skills, such as leadership and cooperation, while providing opportunities for student voice and choice. As they rotate through jobs, students can express their preferences and take pride in their contributions.
Overall, classroom jobs lead to a more organized and efficient classroom, offering students a practical context to practice vital skills.
Thank you for your ongoing support and dedication!
Best regards,
Mrs. Kaminski
