Miss Thornton

Hi everyone! My name is Miss Glassgow and I am so excited to join the Roosevelt team for the 2019-2020 school year. This will be my first year teaching in District 64. I graduated from Indiana University with a degree in Elementary and Special Education. Go Hoosiers!

I was born and raised in the Northwest suburb of Palatine. In my free time, I love to spend time with my family and friends, be outside, and travel to new places. My favorite sport to watch is college football, I love drinking coffee, and my favorite animal is a dog (which also happens to be my classroom theme this year).

Please let me know if there is anything I can do to best support you or your student. I am very much looking forward to working with all the amazing Kindergartners and 1st graders this year!

Welcome to the 2018/2019 school year at Roosevelt Elementary School! As the school year quickly begins, I wanted to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Christina Botsis and I am a Special Education Teacher for 2nd grade this year.

I am very much looking forward to working with you and your child this year! I was born and raised in Chicago and currently live right on the border of Chicago and Park Ridge in Jefferson Park. You might see me riding my bike to school or going for a long run on the weekends.

I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Education from North Park University in Chicago in 2011. I am excited to say that this will be my 4th year teaching in District 64 but my 6th year teaching Special Education!

Parent-teacher communication is extremely important to me. I plan to keep a two-way line of communication open throughout the year by sending home updates on your child’s progress as well as all other important information. It is my goal to work with your child and guide him/her through this important time in his/her life.

I know we will have a fantastic year together, see you soon!

I am looking forward to working with you and your child this school year. I have been teaching in District 64, at Roosevelt School, for ten years now! I will be co-teaching with Mrs. Filipiak again this year. In my time outside of school, I enjoy reading, traveling and spending time with my two daughters. I look forward to working in partnership with you to guide your child through this school year. Please let me know if there is anything I can support you or your child with.

My name is Miss Coffin and I am so excited to be back with the Roosevelt team again this year! This will be my second year in District 64. I am the Fourth Grade resource teacher and will be co-teaching Reading, Language Arts, and Math with Miss McTague and Reading and Writing with Ms. Polinski. I graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary and Special Education.

I am from the western suburbs of Chicago. In my free time I like to travel, be active, attend Chicago sporting events, and play with my dog, Roxie. I also love spending time with my family and friends.

I am looking forward to wonderful year and getting to know and work with the students and families at Roosevelt!

My name is Ms. Andre and I am a resource teacher at Roosevelt School. I have taught at Roosevelt School for the last three years. Before teaching resource, I taught fourth grade and a special needs classroom at Field School. I earned a degree in Speech and Language Pathology and a masters in Education from the University of Iowa. Go Hawkeyes!

I live in the Northwest suburb of Arlington Heights with my three daughters. My oldest daughter is Abby, my middle daughter is Kiley, and my youngest daughter is Brooke. We have a rambunctious chocolate lab named Penny and a calico cat named Daisy.

We had a great summer that included lots of swimming and dance, time at our cabin in Wisconsin, and a memorable trip to Hawaii. When I am not in school, I enjoy reading, watching the Bears, Cubs, and Blackhawks, and running.

I enjoy teaching and love all the fun topics we cover!
