TCI science- students log in through Clever. That is an online resource they have on their chromebooks and how they always log in to science at school. Remember to look for "Text with Notes" on the left in the purple background for reading/listening.

Epic- A reading resource that will be helpful for Reading , Language Arts, and independent reading. Kids can use their classroom code. They have it taped in their assignment notebooks but if that isn't handy the code is vjb1094 .

My Math- Students brought home ther math books on Friday March 13. Additionally, your child can use his or her chromebook to see the math book. They can click on the "waffle iron" and look for the McGrawhill ConnectEd button. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1C3aPDw8bD5gbsjnC9Spn__avgr4c9HLj/view

Optional Schedule- Here is an approximation of our daily schedule. Some of your children might like the comfort of doing activities close to the usual times.

1. Math

2. Science or Social Studies, Art once a week

3. Spanish or PE or Health

4. X-Block- time for learning interventions, practice and review of concepts already taught, test practice, silent reading, partner reading, and "Fun Friday" when they can choose from D64 online resources, such as ABCya.

5. Lunch/Recess (11:40-12:35)

6. Language Arts

7.Handwriting or Library or Social and Emotional Learning

8. PE or Music

9. Reading (Many kids gravitate to the floor for a more relaxed and comfortable reading time)

Some children respond well to a timer. You can set a timer for around 30-60 minutes, depending on the subject and your child. I would give your child a 10 - 15 minutes break (away from the chromebook) between each subject, of course more at lunchtime. Anytime you can send your child outside, safely away from others of course, is a benefit to their focus and stamina.

I hope this helps! I miss your kids and hope everyone is working hard and staying healthy!
