All about Mrs. Smee

I am Courtney Smee, the speech language pathologist (SLP) for the Early Childhood Diagnostic Team (ECDT) at Jefferson School. I am also a part-time SLP at Washington School. I have been an SLP in District 64 since 2008, when I began as the SLP for the instructional classrooms at Carpenter Elementary. I held that position for four years before I became the primary SLP for Carpenter Elementary as a whole. Before working in District 64, I worked as an SLP for a school in District 300 and at a private clinic in Bannockburn, where I primarily worked with children with autism.

As a member of Jefferson’s ECDT, I am involved in the screening and/or evaluation process for District 64 resident children from birth through age 6. As a part-time SLP at Washington School, I provide speech and language evaluations, therapy, and consultation to students in grades K through 5.
