LINCOLN IS GOING WASTE FREE!

The Lincoln Green Team was awarded a grant from SWANCC for two cafeteria lunch waste sort stations. Starting in the fall of 2021, students began to sort all their waste into recyclables, compost(food waste) and trash during lunch. Our goal is to be waste free in the cafeteria by the end of 2025 and we're well on our way!

FACS classes to compost!

The FACS department applied for a PTO grant and received three compost sort bins so the students can recycle and compost their food waste. They will also learn about composting food waste within the FOODS classes. We're excited that students will have more learning opportunities to contribute to a greener Lincoln.

Thank you to PTO!

The Lincoln PTO has been an asset to the recycling/lunch waste program. They are advertising and providing volunteers for the lunchroom.
