About Me 

Hello! Thanks for taking the time to learn a bit about me-I look forward to getting to know you this year. My name is Kendra Hutchinson and 2025/26 will be my seventeenth year teaching at the middle school level (it will be my 9th year teaching Math at Emerson; 2nd year teaching ELA & 4th year as the D64 Channels of Challenge Curriculum Specialist)! I have my Bachelor of Arts Degree from Augustana College where I majored in Elementary Education and minored in Mathematics (and played basketball). I have my Master's Degree from St. Xavier in Teaching and Leadership. 

When I am not at school, I spend most of my time with my family! I have twins that are Freshman this year (at Maine South) and a funny dog named Hugo. We live in Park Ridge so you will probably see us around town. Some things I enjoy (besides teaching): being outside and active, coaching, reading, coffee, and snacks :)  

I look forward to an engaging school year of seeing my students grow as learners and people!
