Computer Education is a quarterly class that last 9 weeks. After 9 weeks the students will rotate through PLTW, Music, & Art.
In our class, students will be using GarageBand to create their own podcasts. GarageBand is a simple, kid-friendly audio program that allows them to record their voices, add music or sound effects, and edit their work into a polished final project.
In class, students will be using Pixlr, an easy-to-use online design tool, to explore graphic design. They’ll learn how to combine text, images, and colors to create eye-catching posters, logos, and digital art. This project helps students build creativity, problem-solving, and digital design skills while having fun bringing their ideas to life.
In class, students will be using WeVideo, an online video editing program, to create their own short films and projects. They’ll learn how to put together video clips, images, music, and text to tell a story or share information. This activity helps students practice creativity, communication, and digital media skills while producing something they’re proud to share.
In class, students will be using the Cricut design software and Canva.com to create their own custom logos. They’ll experiment with shapes, fonts, and colors to design a unique graphic that can be cut and applied to different materials. This project encourages creativity and design thinking while introducing students to real-world tools used in graphic arts.
