About Mrs. Felsenthal

This is my sixth year at Lincoln Middle School, but my tenth year teaching, overall. I graduated from Northern Illinois University with my Bachelor's Degree in teaching, and I graduated with my Master's Degree in School Library Studies, through the University of Northern Iowa. This year, I will graduate from the American College of Education with my second Master's Degree, which will be in Curriculum Integration. I am an avid reader (I am a huge fan of Harry Potter), and I enjoy watching the Blackhawks, Cubs, Bears and Huskie (NIU) Football. I am looking forward to working with all of you this year!

What is Mrs. Felsenthal Reading?

A Work in Progress

By Jarrett Lerner

"You're FAT," Nick Fisher said, and the whole entire hallway fell silent. And then he said it again. "You're FAT. And EVERYONE thinks it."

Something like that happens to you - something like what happened to me in fourth grade - and it never leaves your head. It's in there. Forever. PERMANENTLY.

And it's not long before you don't even need the Nick Fishers of the world to be there to tell you what they think of you - you become your own bully.

And you do the job better than anyone else possible could.
