D51 Middle School and High School Honor Orchestra 2026
District 51 is proud to announce the 2026 Honor Orchestra Festival. Honor Orchestra is an opportunity for outstanding middle and high school orchestra students to represent their schools as members of an auditioned, highly skilled group.

Be Conscious of Double Booking Yourself
We want to honor you and your commitment to excellence by making this event a fun, musical event.
Please check your family calendar for schedule conflicts before you audition.
Honor orchestra students are expected to be on time and present for every rehearsal, sectional, clinic, and concert.
Please communicate any unforeseen circumstances such as illness, family emergency or other cases to your director ASAP.
Be Well Prepared
Be proactive in working with your direct and/or private lesson teacher to learn the audition excerpts and your honor orchestra music so you can enjoy honor orchestra without the stress of being underprepared.
Students will need to work on the music outside of class time and should go over their music and ask their director for help with anything they do not understand before the first rehearsal.
