Grades

Grades are standards based. This means students are graded on their proficiency of specific skills. Daily work is most often practice that will lead to mastery.

Daily work and tests are consistently reviewed and assessed on a four point scale. Teachers are responsible for analyzing student data to assign a score on report cards.

Report card grades will be as follows:

3- Proficient- able to complete independently and consistently, demonstrating mastery of skills and meeting grade level expectations

2-Partially Proficient- inconsistent or requiring assistance in order to show understanding

1- Not proficient- working on foundational skills

Advanced grades on the report card ”4” are earned by students who are working in an accelerated curriculum and independently and consistently perform a minimum of one year above grade level.
