We understand that our kids are talented and busy, and we want to encourage kids to manage their time well while respecting their commitments to other in - school and out- of -school activities.
Students will need to share equal time with drama club and their other school activities (chorus, band, clubs, sports)
Excused absences: Will be listed on the conflict calendar and illness, doctor appointments, or emergency that cannot be prevented
Unexcused absences: All other absences
Absence policy:
after 3 unexcused absences, we will contact a parent or guardian and will discuss the needs of the show
cast member may have their role reassigned depending on the needs of the show
depending upon the timing of absences and the shows needs, student and directors will come up with a plan to make up what the cast member has missed or reassign
Mandatory Rehearsal Dates:
April 6: Tech Sunday
April 7-10: Tech Week (Monday- Thursday)
April 11 HBMS performances (day time)
April 11 and 12 Performances (7pm Friday; 1pm and 6pm Saturday)
Please plan to stay after the 6pm show for 1 hour, students AND families are asked to turn in costumes and help clean up for our tear down.
Cash or checks will be accepted. All checks can be made out to HBMS Drama Club. (Due by Monday, January 29th)
Cast
Costume Fee: $50 (students will need at least 2 costumes for the show)
Drama Club Activity Fee: $75 (fee covers the script, T-shirts, musical rights, Tech Sunday lunch, cast party, frame, professional headshot, etc.)
Crew
Participation Fee $50
Covers T-shirts, Tech Sunday lunch, cast party, headshots, etc.
Costumes
We will be renting professional costumes when we can and some students will be asked to bring in clothes from home. Students that are bringing items from home will have a reduced costume fee. More to come!
Cast will be measured and will receive a rented costume
We ask that students provide their own base pieces such as; shoes, leggings/tights, spanks, tank tops, etc. We will specify what is needed according to their specific role in the show.
Shoes:
Depending on their role, your student will be asked to have a certain shoe.
Make-Up
Students will have the option to apply their make-up at home for each performance or come a half hour earlier than the scheduled reporting time to have their make-up applied for them by a crew memeber or cast buddy.
