Code!! Yes! We are all computer programmers!
Our students are all enrolled in studio.code.org and get the opportunity to learn coding through this amazing program. We do not just participate in the global Hour of Code, we code as often as we can! We use many programs to create our own coding activities as well as coding and programming our Prairieview Family of Robots. We have been very lucky to have been selected to receive grants from our D46 Foundation to purchase these robots. We have robots for all ages!
Check out the pictures below demonstrating our use of coding!
We all participate in the Hour of Code and many more hours as well! Visit the links below to see what we have been doing! Watch out-you might never stop! Have you caught the coding bug? All students in kindergarten through 4th grade have been coding and are enrolled in the FREE courses at code.org. We all participated in the Hour of Code, well...way more than an hour! Coding provides students the opportunity to not only learn a little about computer programming but a huge lesson in problem solving and perseverance! Students can log into their accounts to continue their progress on their challenges.
