I recently got married and am now Mrs. Sanft, but some of you might remember me as Ms. Karrick! I’m so happy to be your third grade teacher this year.
This is my fifth year teaching and my fourth year in third grade here at Prairieview. I earned my bachelor’s degree in education from Illinois State University, and this fall I’ll begin working toward my master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction at Western Illinois University.
I grew up in Bartlett, Illinois and moved to Arlington Heights after college. Prairieview felt like home to me since the beginning, so I decided to plant my roots here and move closer to the community. My husband and I bought our first home in the Round Lake area, and we’ve loved living here for the past three years!
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I also love going for walks with my husband and our puppy Nash, playing pickleball, listening to live music, traveling, and crafting with my Cricut. You’ll also quickly learn that I’m a huge football fan and love cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs! (My husband is a Bears fan so I cheer for them, too!) Football season is definitely my favorite time of year!
