You may recognize me as Miss Sesterhenn, but after getting married this past spring I'm now Mrs. Burke! I'm thrilled to be back for my fifth year at Prairieview! Prior to my time at Prairieview, I taught kindergarten for six years. I graduated from the University of Illinois in 2015 with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. I also earned my ELL endorsement in 2017 and a Master's Degree in Education: Reading Specialist in 2021. 

I grew up nearby in Libertyville and I lived in Chicago after graduating college. I moved to Grayslake 6 years ago and am happy to be teaching in the community where I live. When I'm not at school, I love to travel (my husband and I went on our honeymoon to Thailand this summer!), read, watch movies, spend time with my friends and family, and cheer on Chicago sports teams!
