Minimize use of Grid or Tile view: these views are extremely processor intensive.
Close other tabs or applications while on video.
Turn off the application’s camera when not actively participating (we’ve seen marked improvement when students take this step).
Plug the Chromebook into a power source (don’t rely on battery) when using video conferencing wherever possible.
Make sure the charger is plugged into the wall
Make sure the charger brick is connected to the cable
Make sure the cable is plugged into either USB-C port on the Chromebook, there is one on each side
The light on the left side of the Chromebook should be Red (<5%), Orange (5%-95%), or Green (Fully Charged)

Using the steps above make sure you device charges and the power LED is either Orange or Green and you have charged for at least 20 minutes
Hold down the ⟳ button and power button at the same time for 10 seconds then release.
Hold down the power button to turn on the Chromebook.
If that doesn't work hold the power button alone for 15 seconds then release
Press the power button to try to power on your Chromebook

Hold down the power button and the refresh button (⟲) until the screen goes black.
Try typing.

Go to your settings.
Under “Device”, click Keyboard.
Make sure “Treat top-row keys as function keys” is turned off.

Make sure “Backspace” is set to “Backspace”

Restart your Chromebook and login
Click on the corner with the battery icon and time displayed
Click the settings gear to open Chromebook settings
In the network section, ensure the wifi slider is on and blue
Select wifi and then select your network

With all tabs closed and a blank home screen hold down "Esc" + refresh button (⟲) + Power button on the right side for a few seconds until a screen that says "Please insert a recovery USB stick or SD card" appears.
Press "Ctrl" + D. It should now say "To turn OS verification OFF, press Enter". Press Enter once now. The screen should go black for a moment then say "OS verification is OFF"
Press Enter again. It should say OS verification is back ON and your computer should restart. You may need to login to home wifi and do updates and enrollment. Just click anything that says Next or continue until you are back at the sign in screen.
Login to your device as normal

Find a hard level surface like a countertop or a floor. Surface should be stable.
Close chromebook.
Hold chromebook perpendicular to the countertop with hinge side up.
Apply pressure on the hinges towards the hard level surface until misaligned hinges are flat.
This should have aligned the hinges.
Try opening your chromebook. You should be able to put it into tablet mode if hinges have been aligned.

Charger cord or plug destroyed (Dog ate my charger)
Liquid spilled
Double check that your code was entered correctly
If you are clicking on a bookmark, try entering the code manually from the google meets homepage
If it still says the meeting code doesn't work, contact your teacher as the code may have changed
Contact your teacher to make sure you have the correct link
Have your teacher manually invite you to the call using the people tab
If you still cannot join let your teacher know
