HEALTH & SAFETY

View Guidance

District 45 will consider the following guidance and information when evaluating the sustainability of continued in-person instruction:

  • Weekly call with DuPage County Health Department (DCHD) medical experts and other county superintendents where unpublished current DCHD, Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH), and Centers for Disease Control (CDC) data is discussed

  • Data from Northwestern University - local metrics specifically for Villa Park, Lombard, Elmhurst, and Oakbrook Terrace

  • School transmission rates as collected by DuPage County Superintendents and DCHD

  • School quarantines in DuPage County

  • Community hospitalizations

  • Community and staff vaccination rates

  • Collaboration with neighboring superintendents

  • District 45 staffing and quarantines

Parents and guardians are encouraged to review the District’s COVID-19 dashboard. It should be noted, however, that the DCHD data published on the dashboard represents the official public release of DCHD metrics and is 2 weeks behind. The Northwestern metrics, referenced above, are updated weekly on the D45 COVID-19 Dashboard.
