We are working on going over our goal for shout outs. If we go 10 over, we are having a movie party!! The kids are doing such an awesome job!! Remember my google site also has a lot of other key components for our classroom:)

November 11-Veterans Day Program at 9:00 am in HIgh School gym; 4th graders walk over to Northern Illinois Veterans Memorial; End of Trimester 1
November 20-SIP Day Early Release at 11:30
November 23-Parent/ teacher conferences 12-7pm (No School)
November 24-Parent/teacher conferences 8-1pm (No School)
November 25-27-Thanksgiving break (No School)
December 2-Trimester 1 Student Achievement Celebration

Snack will be a part of our daily routine. Your child is welcome to bring a healthy snack if they would like.
This week in class:
Reading- Next week, we will continue our novel study: The WIld Robot by Peter Brown.
Math- Next week we will continue Module 3 Multiplication and Division: multiplying a single digit by three and four digit numbers; multiplying two digit by two digit numbers. Please practice math facts daily. It is a key component to math skills for this unit and beyond..
Language Arts- Next week we will focus on using commas in quotations from a text or direct speech, progress verb tenses and our adventure book for school of authors.
Spelling- Spelling lists will be found on my google site.
Social Studies-Next week, Chapter 2-EQ: Why have people moved to and from the Northeast?. We will work on Chapter 2 Lesson 4: What attracts people to the Northeast today? Students should study the states and capitals of the Northeast.
Science-End of unit project: Creating a mythical animal. We will have all week to work on this.
Dress up days next week and Halloween!! It will be a fun week! Have a great weekend!
