Hello! My name is Shelby Green.  This is my fourth year teaching. I graduated from NIU in December of 2020. I am very familiar with being in the classroom because I was an aide for 8 years before becoming a teacher. My love for teaching grew more and more while being an aide. I wanted to have a classroom of my own. 

Some fun facts about me:

• My favorite color was green before it became my  last name.

• I went to Kirkland Hiawatha from Kindergarten through Freshman year.

• My husband and I have been together for 17 year, married for 7.  

• We have a beautiful 14 year old daughter and a 2 year old son. 

• My family loves to be active and outside as much as possible. We play lots of sports!

• We have 4 dogs. We name our dogs after food. We have a Golden Retriever named Honey, two Shorkies named Peanut and Guacamole, and a Silver Lab named Pumpkin. Peanut and Guakie are twins!
